Just thought i'd start a journal. The tank is currently inhabited by other fish, but they will move out once the 2 new tanks are built (1 is nearly ready) and arrive. So figured planning can start now
I have got myself new lights for this tank, 4x 39W T5HO......Due to the amount of light i am going to do DIY CO2 (it will be a necessity) Wanting to have a go at higher light/fussier plants
I'm debating asking my hubby if he would mind making me a nice cabinet type stand for the tank to sit on, then i can add supports to hang the light rather than it have to sit on top of the tank. He is very busy with work though so i may have a bit of a wait for that lol
Substrate will be DIY
Will be on the lookout for decor from now, will be dropping into one of the LFS on the way home to see what wood/rocks they have available. Will add photos when i find what i like.
Oh yeah, once the tank is empty and cleaned, i will be getting a tube of black silicone to go over the clear on the back (i dont want to be able to see them as am thinking of doing an island type planting) Also the tank will get the back and side painted black
I am hoping to pick up 4-5 platinum angels this week, they will go into the gourami tank until this tank is ready for them to move into. Looking forward to getting into scaping lol Antsy, but just gotta wait for everything to drop into place
