50 W Lighting

hi all, Im looking at doing a 30"x12"x15" planted tank and have been looking at lighting and i was thinking of using some quartz halogen capsules (12v 50w) with reflectors, has any body dun this or can tell me what you think of this.

Very hot bulbs but possible. AFFAIK thats all a Bi-orb has.
