So as the title says I will be updating my tank to a 29 to a 50g tank. Planning to do a dirted tank with sand covering the dirt. What are good fish to choose from. I have kept tetra to guppies to cories, swordtails, mollies. Is there any fish you guys in the forum prefer.

Mmm...bettas. :D

You could try a heavily planted sorority?

A 50 gallon is a decent size, and I could imagine a number of South American or SE Asian displays, being geographic if that appeals to you, or a mixed community from both areas.  But knowing your water parameters is the starting point, as some of these will be more specific in their requirements.  The GH and KH and pH (check with your water supply folks if you don't happen to know offhand).

Byron.

I've always wanted to see an entire tank full of rummynose tetras. Like a TON of them. Imagine like 40 rummynose tetras all schooling around. It would be a sight to see. I have 15 in my 120 gallon, and I'm planning on getting at least 5 more. They are so cool.
