Hopefully i will be upgrading from 2 10 gallons to 1 50 gallon. I dont know what to put in it, but i know i want these fish at least

Dot Dash Butterflyfish
Coral beauty angelfish

Would a snowflake eel be possible?

Oh yah, i plan on trading in every fish except my ocellaris clownfish for supplies.

A Snowflake Eel would not be advisable with any of those suggested, they hide out in the rockwork and ambush small fish, snails & hermits, anything smaller than 3" - 4" would be a target unless a fast, open water swimmer.

They are very messy eaters and tend to hide large food items in the rock where it can't be cleaned up and favour eating CUC and small fish rather than whatever you try and feed them.

Mine would also 'ambush' my hand so quite aggressive when they feel threatened by larger things.

Would imbe able to keep a bristletooth tang in there until it got like 4 inches, then give it back?

IMO (and most others) you should never buy livestock knowing you will have to rehome it later on.

If it's not suited to your tank as an adult then it's not suited to your tank fullstop. This is the sort of action that lead to irregular behaviour, aggression, illness and growth defects. There is no guarantee that you will be able to rehome at a later date and there's compatibility issues you may not be aware of due to the mismatch of a 'big' fish in a small tank.

Tang's require a lot of open water to swim in whether they are juvenile or adult which is why larger tanks are required (for a bristletooth minimum is 70g)

Walk before you can run and pick any livestock as though it was adult.

Okay, this is now a 36 gallon project. I want

Coral beauty angelfish
Orange stripe prawn goby
Maroon clownfish

Id like some more fish

I'm not as expierianced with saltwater, but I can give you some ideas
Yellow Stripe Clingfish
Indigo Dottyback
Purple Dottyback
Springeri Dottyback
Sunrise Dottyback
Yellowehead Jawfish
Royal Gramma Basslet
Maybe a school of Black Reef or Blue/Green Chromis
Firefish
Scissortail Dartfish
Bluethroat Pikeblenny

I have a sunrise dotty, and i think i mightx keep him. I like the idea of scissortail darts, maybe a shoal of them or chromis.

Thanks

Im not into saltwater but i was in MA and i saw a piccasso trigger and he looked so cut although he was pretty big so i dont imagine it fitting in your tank
