5 Gallon - What To Do With It?

I picked up a little 5 gal tank, as it was like £2.60

Thing is, what shall I do with it?

how about a shrimp tank?? or maybe a dwarf puffer?? do you have a filter/heater etc?? the tank could also house a betta.

Get a heater and a filter with a low current. Cycle. Add 1 male betta and a handful of shrimp. Also get a few live plants for the betta to rest on. Simple!

Would it be ok for a betta? Not too small?

Also, would the shrimp breed, or would the betta eat all the babbies?

A 5 gallon is perfect for a betta. Much better than a 1/2 gallon bowl.<div><br></div><div>Depending on the kind of shrimp, you might get babies. Some shrimp can only breed if you add salt to the water. I am not sure if the betta would try to eat the babies.</div>

From what I have read, red cherry shrimp are fairly easy to breed. They are also fairly inexpensive. They run about $2-$2.50 where I live.
