My girlfriend wants 2 new tanks for her bettas. She has a 2.5 and a 5 gallon hex. She wants two 5 gallon rectangulars.

So....I would like to set up the 5 gallon hex for 1 dwarf pufferfish.

I'm not a huge betta fan, and it's her thing, honestly. But, I have always found pufferfish to be very cool and fun to watch. So...I would like to a dwarf, since they stay small.

I'm thinking that 5 is big enough, but would like other opinions, since I don't have any .

They only get to be 1 inch maximum size.

Here is the information on what I want to buy.

THanks

We-ell...

If the tank is well filtered (i recommend a small external filter), aerated, with sand bottom and a few smooth rocks, maybe a single amazon shord centre piece...) you could pull it off. If the fish stays at 1" then why not?

Although puffer experts may have a different opinion....

THanks for the information. :)

This is exactly the info I was searching for. :)

I would like the opinion of people who have, or have had, them. :)

I'm planning on doing this, based upon the information that I've found on the net. :)

Messy fish don't worry me, as I own an Oscar and he makes a heck of a mess. :)

I have found, at Petsmart, a pet store that labels their plants, so I can find them more easily. :) I'll have a planted tank I want, and a puffer. :) I'm a big fan of java fern and moss. :)

I've also found these flat rock pieces I like too. :)

Oh...the fun of another small tank. :)
