Ok, My Dad has the Aqua Cube 40, We measured it up, its 40ltrs.
Now that im going marine, he wants a small marine tank aswell.
Is there anyfish that can actually be kept in here?
He would only be looking at one-two fish, and a shrimp or somthing?
FOWLR though.

About a 10 usg. Yes he can keep a goby or a small clown(such as occelaris, percula). Keep in mind that smaller tanks are more vulnerable to water fluctuations or variations whether it's evaporation or something dieing.

A goby shrimp combo would work well.

He has a huge protein skimmer for it that we got from carboot.
So I suppose that will help a little?

Mini me's nano isn't much bigger than this and no skimmer is used on it...try small gobies or a pair of smaller damsels,etc...These pico tanks can make stunning zoa gardens too!!!
Just carry out regular 10 % weekly water changes and you should be fine....

this is how it used to be, only 2 gallons more than your dad's tank...

That tank is simply stunning.

I don't think I have ever seen such a beautiful tank before.

Iam gobsmacked!

Thanx very much..just shows what can be done in a smaller tank as long as you are able to keep an eye on things and keep up regular maintenance...Also regular fragging and thinning out will be required in these smaller set ups

that is a stunning tank! :good: :good:

a shrimp and goby pair would be nice to keep.

Yellow tail damsel? you could have a stunner of a little fish!

ive seen people keep Yellow Clown Gobys aswell; but it goes down to the well being of the fish i mean id hate to have to be kept in a room rather than a house; even though i could live in a room if you catch my drift ^^

they can be harder to keep just to let you know; but anything is achievable :)

you might need something to top it up though :good:

Just remember a pico is much more difficult to keep stable - I would suggest a bigger water change than 10%, at least 25% weekly.

A zoa garden with a goby, shrimp combo would be excellent - there are lots of vids on youtube, with yellow watchman gobies and their shrimp, so cute - go take a look
