40 Gallon

Dwarf childs like to be kept with other dwarfs. You don't have to have a pair you could get same sex. I have one keyhole and yes he did seem lonely when his buddy died. I had 2 males. But I have him with a blue acara and 2 male bolviana rams and he is happy now with other cichlids around. As long as they do not pick on him he likes haveing them around.

All tetras can nip. But if kept in a large group they just tend to play with each other. As far as corys go make sure you don't plan on keeping the tank too warm 75F is the highest that most corys like cooler better. My Cory tank I keep at 72F and they spawn regulary.Sterba's Cory are one kind that do well in higher temps.

Wow! I could just get two random keyholes from the LFS and not worry about fighting? I might put the apistogramma to the side and get two keyholes instead!

What group size would you reccomend so that the tetras won't nip at my angel? So now, here is what I plan on stocking...

1 Angel
2 Keyholes
10-Or more? Bloodfin tetras
8 Corys
3 Swordtails

If you have more the 6 I don't think you will have an issue. My tetras nip each other but don't bother my other fish. But today I saw my emperor tetra nip the poop off on my blue acara it was pretty funny. Emperor tetras are funny fish.

Yeah keholes are not going to be that aggressive to each other one will be top dog but he will not kill off the other they get along.
