40 Gallon Aquarium

Hi,
I have a 29 gallon aquarium and we're thinking of upgrading to a 40 gallon. we are thinking of getting rid of our current fish so theres no need to ask what we have. Any suggestions as to what fish we should get in the 40 gallon (tropical freshwater) would be much appreciated.

Well, what sort of fish do you like? A good idea would be to go to your LFS and write down the fish you like, then come back here and tell us so that someone can say which ones would work.
Other things that would help is knowing your pH and if your water is hard or soft.
