4 Holding Females!

hey, now i have 4 holding females of ice-blue but they havent spit the fry yet. they are like holding for a month. iv'e seperated them and waited to see, i can see that the fry i fully grown in thier mouth. will they spit the fry in a very small tank? 1gallon? since they are alone.?

no no every one seperate own tank but the sizes are like 1 gallon each

Thank Goodness! Well, they should be very close, now. I suppose the females will spit them, but that is a very small space. One gallon won't be enough space for a grow out tank. Babies grow slowly, and should be approx.1 inch long before selling, or adding back to the main tank...........

Hopfully those tiny tanks are cycled tanks w/mature filtration???

I agree you need a bigger tank for the long term growout tank. They should spit soon. They fry will eat finely crushed flake food. Good Luck

yeah i know this is just temporarily just for the females to spit them out, after put all the frys in a 10g tank and return the females back home.
