4 Gallon

hi peeps

I have a 4 gallon tank and im debating wether to get a betta or not... its a large tank for a fish people keep in jam jars.... I wanted a lone angel... is that possible??

if not, what other fish could I get i want something "special" as I have mostly tetras and they tend to be I little plain jane...

any ideas would be great...

Nowhere near enough for an angel. A single betta maybe, otherwise, a single dwarf puffer?

an angel needs a 20-30 gallon tank plus

4 gallon is very very small
and very few fish will tolerate that small a tank

don't dwarf puffers want 5 gallon plus?

They should be OK, they're pretty tiny fish and it's generally only for the territorial aspect if you're keeping more than one.

so do u think a betta would be the better idea??? would neons get eaten??

As I said in the other thread, no neons in that tank size, let alone with a betta.

A betta or shrimp is all you can really get

How about a couple of African Dwarf frogs?

Or, as someone suggested, shrimps? I saw a really good shrimp tank at Christmas (exhibition at Natural History Museum, Gothenburg), bright red little creatures, very active.
