I figure I talk enough about projects I'm doing on this site, yet I never get around to pictures, so here goes. My 37 gallon. Looking foward to crits advice and what not. Please don't hold back (with limits of course)

Getting started
01Start.jpg

Finding, buying, and cleaning the sand was a trouble that took a lot of research and convincing my wife that it's better then pea gravel (price included)
02WaterSand.jpg

Mopani wood piecies (soaked in scalding tub for 3 nights + boiled)
03Wood.jpg

Smaller piece that fits the set. (Sold by wieght at LFS and had tons of pieces) (Hint, attach helium balloons to all items you will by that are sold by wieght)
04Wood.jpg

That wood ... cant find the species but it foats... so over weeks I have been struggeling to keep it sinking. (ANY info on that type of wood would be helpful.) (Mature filter cycle was amazing, but still keeping an eye out)

Also looking to find the specific name for the stemmed plant in the middle.

Lighting was a problem with this tank. The LFS bulb went on the frits the first time I plugged it in, so we replaced it... but they got a blue bulb instead (great for highligts, not so great to see the tank) And then later on we bought a nice powerful light to go with the not so powerful one. So it's like 1.5-2 watts per gallon now instead of 0.2 with the original LFS bulb.

All the plants but the one in the back corner are thriving with the new light, ferts and co2 (though I see i need some Iron)

And here it is. One of my fish tanks (In progress)

To come. Moss walls on 2 surfaces, maybe with some wood/anubis plants twinned into the mix so it's not so uniform (+ a cave or two on the wall.) A resting spot in the back corner connecting the two moss walls for any fish who likes being in shallow water (i doubt it will come to use, but that's down the road/ when LFS shipment doesnt get canceled grr! stupid pirates) More fishies (rainbows and dwarf cics) + A bottom fish... but I'm having trouble finding a good fish for the bottom of the tank... (dont like cories) any other suggestions?

Okay, So i will keep you posted on what is to come. Tank you for reading :)

a shame you don;t like corys as some sterbai would look so nice in that tank!!

I like it mate very attractive

lovely looking tank . the floaty wood looks like redmoor root . it will sink eventually . i had a piece take over 8 weeks to sink ! the stem plant in the middle looks like hygrophilia polysperma , altho im not too great with plants , so maybe best to check in the planted section .

It's not thier actions, and social I don't like. Let me make an analogy... It's that they reminde me of vans in a race track with lotus' Ahh well, it's something to look into. (The A-Team Van is cool)

I maaaaaaaay get kuhli loaches, my only problem is I used to fish, and they are shapped like worms, and I don't want them to turn into fish spaghetti. Or a BN Plec... when the tank matures a couple more months.

The weekend, if I'm not stuck with family I'm going to get Mosses defintly, some little plants, some big plants, and some wood plants, and I will defintly get pictures up of the wall.

And thank you.

Here's what I drew up for what I want the wall to look like (in a couple months because I cant expect moss to grow that fast.

I think some African Dwarf Frogs would look nice in there along with some Shrimp.

Good luck with the plans, it looks like it's going to be good so far!

I've already re-arranged the front of the tank, as i felt i put the grassy plant in the wronge corner, so i switched those corners. I also moved the tall plant to the back corner behinde the wood, to give a more roomey look. The Java Ferns are going all spidery on me and all of the fish are reletivly calm (unless it's snack time)
