I have a 33g (36" long) already finished cycling, my proposed stocking scheme is:

-6 Rainbow praecox
- 4 spotted cory or 3 zebra loaches
-2 Bolivian Rams
-school of cardinals (not sure of numbers)
-male Betta

would I be overstocked? Are there any other suggestions?
also could the corys, loaches and rams live together or is that too much in the bottom strata?
The 33g also contains live plants and my fliter is a aqua clear 300.

I also have a 10g that I will be using to quarantine new fish however, once done I can move the Betta and corys there if need be. If that's the case is there anything else that I could add to the 33.

is there anything else that I could add besides the Betta? or just leave as it is minus the Betta?

how many cardinals would I be able to get in this setup? also would glass catfish work as an alternative to the cards, if so how many would be adequate?

idn say 8 cardinals would be a nice number in that size tank, with a bit extra room for other fish in the furute :D , but id advise agaisnts the betta :/

ok if I was to add 8 Cardinals to my stocking and take out the Betta, would I also be able to add a dwarf gourami or 2 as well (or something else)??? Suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks for the help so far.

or would it be better to forget the gouramis/betta and increase the sizes of my rainbows and either the cardinals/glass catfish (depending on which ones I decide to get)?

How about something like this:

8 Neon Rainbows
2 Bolivian Rams M/F pair
4 corys
8 cardinals
1 M dwarf gouramis

then you would still have some room left. How about a shoal of harlequin rasboras or something along those lines?

hmmmm....
I would perfer glow-light tetras over rainbow tetras....

And why not replace the Abbeta with a flying fox? I may just be weird, but I really love mine. He's an excellent guy who disturbs no one, and no one disturbs him!

sorry I posted incorrectly on my 1st post, I also have 3 zebra loaches which I bought to combat a snail outbreak, because I thought that my corys were a smaller species, oh well. Will the loaches coexist happily with my other bottom dwellers or should I try and return them (may be too late now though)?

So would this stocking work :

8 Neon Rainbows
2 Bolivian Rams M/F pair
4 corys
3 zebra loaches
1 BN Pleco
8 cardinals
1 M dwarf gouramis

seems overstocked so perhaps I should forgo on the gouramis and keep my Rainbows at 6??
Thanks for the help so far.
(again..I have live plants, Aqua Clear 300, and do 25-30% water changes twice a week)

Maybe something like this then:

6 Neon Rainbows
2 Bolivian Rams M/F pair
4 corys
3 zebra loaches
1 BN Pleco
6 cardinals
1 M dwarf gouramis

or this:

6 Neon Rainbows
1 Male Bolivian Ram
4 corys
3 zebra loaches
1 BN Pleco
8 cardinals
1 M dwarf gouramis

alright..thanks...i like both of those stocking suggestions
would this stocking also work

33g
-Angel
-6 Rainbow Praecox
-2 zebra loaches
-4 peppered corys
-1 BN Pleco
-2 Bolivian Rams

10g
-Betta
-6 Cards (I'm assuming I don't have room for them in the 33 with the Angel)

I'm not 100% on which stocking I like best so any and all suggestions are welcome? If the angel won't work with my current inhabitants, I'll just go back to the other stocking scheme, I liked them as well...thanks for everyone's help thus far
