30G Stocking Ideas

I want to try something a little different in my 30G, ive got a few ideas but want to get all the options and then decide. Im thinking mainly catfish and cichlids but im open to other slightly different fish. The filtration is a Fluval 405, the tank is 36x12x18".
So far ive been thinking
3 Akysis vespa
3 Akysis prashadi
3 Hara jerdoni
10 Kryptopterus minor
5 Batasio batasio or Batasio fluviatilis

OR

3 Bunocephalus coracoideus
2 Sturisoma aureum
4 Dicrossus filamentosus or 2 Laetacara curviceps
3 Megalechis thoracata or Centromochlus perugiae

OR

4 Panaque maccus
4 Sturisoma aureum
3 Bunocephalus coracoideus or Dicrossus filamentosus or 9 Endlers

OR

1 Chaca chaca
2 Ctenopoma acutirostre
3 Pantodon buchholzi

OR

1 Ctenopoma acutirostre
15 Pareutropius buffei
5 Synodontis nigriventris


So far im thinking probably the first, second or third option. Any other ideas?

Ive been doing some more thinking and maybe a group of Crenicichla compressiceps or crenicichla regani.

Any other ideas?

I like option 4 the most. Maybe add a shoal of congo tetra or rainbowfish to liven it up a bit.
If not, option 2 or 3 are also good

Wouldnt they get eaten by the Chaca chaca? i do really like number 4 but im worried incase i cant get them on to deads im not sure ill be able to get enough live fish for them.

ATM im thinking 1 or 3

It is not your average community tank fish so I would choose my tankmates carefully for fear of them getting eaten as they will consume fish half their size. Probably any species of the African Synodontis would do fine and for the upper layers you would do better with larger shoaling fish such as Congo tetras, or larger barbs i.e. Tinfoil Barbs.

Hmm im not sure i do like that idea but like i said im just worried incase i cant get them of lives.

I think its most likely going to be 1,2 or 3.

4 Megalechis thoracata
Maybe a few Endlers or a pair of Dicrossus filamentosus

The first would be a bit more active because of the Kryptopterus minor but if i went for the 2nd theres a good chance of fry and i would mind raising fry from both of those types of fish because ive wanted to have a go for a while.
