Hi all, so our 300ltr tank is dropping by about 1degree over night on one 300w so want to add a second one. Our flat does get cold rather quick so feel 2 would make sense. Am wanting a heater like the fluval e, prefer it to have temp reading. Annoyingly the fluval has too short a cable and won't fit into tank properly to allow us to shut glass cover. Any ideas?

I'm having trouble envisaging your problems with the fluval, so I'm slightly loathe to advise you.

What's stopping it from fitting into the tank properly and how long a cable will it need in your set up?

The distance from plug to where the heater needs to be in the tank is too long so the cable won't reach to the hole in the lid that all of the tubes/ cables etc slot through. Does that make any sense? (If not apologies, I need another coffee!)

The 300W heater we have just isn't cutting it so we are tempted to get another and have 1 in either end however the current one does not have a guard. So in short we are looking for recommendations for a 300W heater that has a guard and preferably a digital temp readout. Not the Fluval (cable too short as stated). And before anyone suggests it, it's already on an extension lead ;) Thanks!
