This is my 1st proper go at getting a nice scape. The tank is cycled, filtered and heated. At the moment its home to 4 platy fry which are growing nicely. The lighting gives me about 0.5watts per litre so I'm hoping with a good combination of ferts and possibly CO2? I can get a nice scape.

In the tank so far is a Tiger Lily (which will be moved when it gets silly big) and an Anubias nana on drift wood. The misc stemmed plant will be removed when my plant order arrives. I've ordered:

10 Cryptocoryne Parva
5 Echinodorus Parviflorus
Riccia Fluitans

I'm unsure if the Riccia will take, but for a few quid I thought I'd have a go. I've also ordered root tabs, and will get some liquid ferts also.

Any ideas would be really welcome.

Tom

Hi there, first off i have no idea what size the tank is or what bulb(s) your running so ill try and give you some ideas on what i would do with the scape from what info i have....

Those pieces of wood would look nice in the left corner in what ever formation you choose, i would then tie the anubis in the centre of both pieces of wood with the Echinodorus Parviflorus planted behind the wood. I would then take those pebbles and the riccia and cover each pebble in riccia then position the pebbles around the base of the wood with some different natural coloured substrate? (if you wanted)
Then i would take the Cryptocoryne Parva and plant it randomly around the substrate.

Or if you dont like that idea what about having the wood more central, and planting around it?

Thats what i would do with what you have :)

That sounds good, I'm sadly still waiting for the plants to be dispatched, but I think I will go for something like that when they finally arrive.

And I hope the moss comes soon, the cherries are being posted monday! =S

Tom499, would you like this moved to the journal section? It'll get buried here.
