30 G Tank

You can get one pretty cheap second hand with no equipment or go for a more expensive one that's brand new and includes all the equipment. There's no simple answer to your question as it all depends on what brand you go for, how old it is and exactly what equipment you'll get along with it. Generaly speaking, it's best to search around as you can get good quality tanks for a good price either second hand or if you buy equipment seperately. On the other hand, in some cases, it works out cheaper to buy the tank with equipment inclusive. It may be better, also, to ask in the hardware section (though perhaps more people will reply now).

As sylvia said, how long is a piece of string!

For some ideas, try ebay and see whats cooking over there. Good deals can also be found in your local paper's classified, or loot, exchange and mart and so on.

If you are buying new, a new one with heater, light etc will set you back more than a bog standard clear-seal one thats glass only.

If you let us know where you are, perhaps people will be able to tell you in local currency.

Try and find a Jolleys store near you.

They do pretty cheap tanks here. I got a Clear-Seal 20g from them for about £30

Yeah, Jolleys rocks!
I'd say Freeads are your best bet, they often have full setups on there for quite cheap. Plus if the tank is still set up when you buy it you can ask them to keep the media damp :)

Hi, get to know someone at a local re-cycling centre! I discovered yesterday that one of my brothers in law works at one and they have tanks with their hardware equipment handed in all the time, several a week apparently.... I wish I had realised this a few months ago!!!
Sundays are good day to root about at these places as weekends is when most people do their "clear outs".
If you dont have one nearby then www.adtrader.co.uk is a good place to look too.
