Well.....i have just about had enough....

I was continuing to dose Tanks 2 and 4 but fed up with the unwanted results when i tested each am (12hrs). That i didnt test for a few days.

On checking Tank 4 this morning (baring in mind this one only started Cycling a few weeks ago) said a LOVELY double 0 in 13 hrs...
I called it a day on Tank 4 and today did the BIG change around...

Tank 1 is unchanged apart from i added 1 more platy. 5x Platy, 6x Peppered Corydora and 6x Cardinal Tetra.
Tank 2 is .....well a pain in the rear!
Tank 3 is now in my sons room, we have put 3x platy and 6x Harlequin Rasbora in.
Tank 4 now has Jackson (Betta), 1x Platy and 10x Glowlight Tetra.

I know some of you will say i should have done the qualifying week, But seriously i really have had enough now. I think i've done my time.

Incidently....

Troublesome Tank 2 (with added 6/8m mature media)

I Decided out of interest to wack up the dose to 3.6ml (full dose) of Ammonia again, just for the hell of it.

This morning it tested Amm = 0 (as it has for months and months) and NitrIte = 1.0 !!!!! I really dont wanna get excited...but PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE let this be it???

I'm assuming that the 3.6ml dose is 4ppm? I'd say it's time for fish. If you don't go nuts and stock lightly to begin with and then build it up, there should easily be enough bacteria in there to support the waste of a light stocking.

I remember I started cycling back in the summer, and you started a few days earlier than I did, and I've had fish for three months now. You need to stop woman!

Having said that, I'm not one to talk, I'm hopefully getting something in the 200L region in the next few months

May start with some platy's???

what else would peeps suggest???

How big is it? I'd get something other than platies, if only because you have them in all your other tanks!

I say go and have a look at your LFS, see what they've got going.

Gouramis are pretty and different to what you have so far. Don't know enough about them to say whether your tank is suitable for them, but it'd be nice to see something a little different.

Are you planning on planting the tank?

not really very good with plants..none survive in my house. i like Rams...but i dont think my ph is low enough
They have a good variety...they just are touch and go if they survive...lost one of Sam's Platy's already along with a Peppered Cory i got a few days ago.
