I bought a just under 1" Female Convict to go in my Green Terror set up....to go with the 1.5" male i already had...

3 days on and they are guarding eggs on a flower pot chasing the MUCH bigger Green Terrors (almost big enough to eat them!) around like crazy lol!

These things are like rabbits...i assumed they were far to small to breed.

Kiinda exciting for me as other than a few guppys and some Mbuna mouthbrooding that never came to be....I have never bred anything before :D (hence why I'm pairing off Green Terrors the proper way)....doubt i'll raise them...i might do, i have a breeding net...i gave away my fry tank tho so may just let nature take its course.

Just upping a video to youtube

wow they're nicely coloured:D

also if the breeding net is the plastic frame with nylon net that goes around it they fish might just suck the fry through the net and eat them, i don't know how but thats what happened to me

Yeh i got warned about that with Mbuna but its better than being in the tank with 6 x 4.5" Green Terrors, 4" Texas, 4" Clown Loach and 6" Bristlenose Plec :p

Dunno whether to bother or not...its hilarious seeing my female 1" Con kicking all of my Terrors + Texas's butts :p

Only took 3-4 days to hatch...got about 20-30 wrigglers hiding under the plant pot now closley guarded by mum and dad.

The texas,Clown Loach,Plec and Green Terrors wont go near the pot :p

I'm thinking of getting some liquifry and makink a tank divider out of a pair of tights so the water can still flow through.
