2nd Tank Cycle

Need some advice here, i`ve got an established 78gal tank running at the moment and bought a small 48ltr tank for fry/isolation,if i stick the new tank filter and run this with the existing tank set up how long (approx) would i have to run the new filter in the existing tank to be sure i`d have enough bacteria to get the small tank up and running?-hope this makes sense just trying to save time cycling. Thanks

2 or 3 weeks, depending on the filter & bio load.

Check the fishless cycling post at the top of this forum to get some numbers on what ammonia nitrite and nitrates should be doing when the tank is done cycling.
