Hi guys,

Can anyone advise on what I should look out for buying this type of tank used? Does it have any common weakspots or anything like that?

Also, I'll need a cabinet for it - any recommendations other than the specific Fluval cabinet?

If I should play safe and get the Fluval cabinet let me know!!!

Thanks guys.

Can only advise based on my 125 Roma, no weak spots or build quality issues, and obviously Fluval recommend using their own stands, which I can confirm are very sturdy items.

That's enough for me then. Proper cabinet it is...it's really nice anyway!

just take your time assembling it, probably the most awkward part of the build is aligning the doors.

Uh oh, no one said anything about aligning stuff...

But seriously, I should manage alright, thanks for your help!

Yup! reckon Fluval Roma cabinet with the doors and storage are best as there is a decent amount of space inside to store all your equipment needed.

Pretty easy to assemble really and yes, aligning the doors was probably the trickiest part but took me all of 5 minutes to do the alignment!!

I have a Roma 90l with cabinet and have to say I do like it and it is indeed very sturdy.

Can get a new cabinet from Pets at Home for about £135 or thereabouts but cheaper to get one from Ebay or something like that.

I didn't know Pets at Home did Fluval cabinets. £135 isn't bad actually as I though it was quit well priced at £130 on Seapets™.co.uk

Good spot Charlie with a 4!

Lol, someone already had the name Charlie on this forum so had to put something else, so thought would be ok to put a 4 instead of an a !! Daft I know but what can you do! Will probably change it at some point in future but will do for now!

Just checked the stock on the cabinet in pets at home, they don't have that one in any of my local stores...oh well. Internet order it is then.

Well, I picked up my used, but new to me, Roma 200. I freakin' love it already...

Came with working lights, filter and heater, so that was pretty good I thought for £100. I'm taking KirkyArcher's advice and getting the proper stand for it, in black, which is now ordered.

The only question I have is on the media for the U4 filter... I've got a Juwel Bioflow just now and wanted to put that media into the U4, am I OK to just cut it all up and fire it in?
