Live life, don't let it live you!
Well, i'm allowed to get a 2ft tank, i'm getting the tank from my brother when I get my cabinet and things set up, but I was wondering what I should do with it? I'm not wanting to spend alot of money on it, and I was going to use it as a breeding tank, well I still am kind of. It's will house (for certain), 3 bristlenose plecs and a pair of kribs. I'm looking to spend very little on it, I have a few plants already, and the tank is only low lighting that i'm getting, but I may upgrade it if i'm allowed, and if possible. It's probably 1WPG at the minute, i'd like to make it look very natural, but very beautiful, i'm probably going to use Cactus Compost if I find out that it's suitable for an aquarium, and maybe a layer of sand? Do you recommend I put a layer of sand over the top or just the compost? I have LOTS (I mean lots) of slate and little round pebbles, also some rocks that may look alright. I've got a 50W heater and a Fluval 2 filter for it.
