Just thought I'd let you know I went with angels. I picked up 6 little marbles from 2 different stores and am hoping to get a pair (the rest will be moved once that happens.

IT shouldn't take long for them to reach sexual maturity (depending on the size) and pair off. I believe you have a 90 or 100% chance of a pair!

the tank may be a little small, but what about a pair of Altum Angels? I read an article and found that these guys are amazing fish with awesome personality. If you are looking for something different you may want to look into these. Again, you would probably have to look into getting them through the internet or special ordering them for your local store. the upside is that you have also had experience with angels before.

Just a word on Altums, amazing fish but also a fairly large as well. Growing 15 or more inch from tip of dorsal to anal fins they need a big tank, 2 foot high minimum more is better. These guys will eat tetras when grown. They are rare in the trade and most of the altums seen for sale are scalare that have markings like the altum. One of my favourite fish and I'd love to keep a group someday (either true altum or altum like scalare both are very beautiful).
