29g For A Sorority?

Ok instead of listing out all of the tanks I'm going to switch around I'll just say that if I can sell a tank and then buy a friend's tank then I can free up a 29g. I really want a sorority tank for my girls, but I'm wondering if this would be too big? My biggest worry is the distance to the top for air and if this'll stress them out. What do you think? Thanks!

They will be fine. If you want you can always add some durable plants for them to rest on. Just don't forget get atleast 4 females.

I have five in a 50 gallon tank, it is quite tall and they dont have any trouble getting to the top.

Ok thank you How many would you guys recommend for it? I have 4 girls right now living seperately and I love the little buggers and would love to get more, but of course I want everybody to have their space. I don't have any planted tanks right now as was thinking of doing a nice sand substrate with lots of live plants. Would this be good? Thanks again!

That would be awesome!

If it were me, I'd put about 10 girls in there. That'd give them all plenty of space to themselves and it would also leave some room for something else, like a few otocinclus or a *small* pleco (like a rubbernose or a bristlenose).

My tank is planted and they love exploring all the nooks and crannies. They all have their favorite places to chill out.
