I would like to stock a 29 gallon tank with cichlids and was wondering what others would suggest and have done. I haven't decided on anything yet and would like to keep an open mind to find womething that will work.
Some of the species I have read that may work arepeacocks, pseudotrophus saulosi, red zebra and chalinochromis brichardi. Also thespecies of lamprologus from lake tanganika. Any thought s and or ideas? Would love stocking #'s and specific fish if ay one has any. Thank you soooo mu :good: ch!!!

If I had a 29G I would have shell dwellers, I wish I had the room as I have been told they can be comical with great personalitys.

Shelldwellers are among the most entertaining and interesting fish I've kept. They constantly quarrel and put on displays but rarely harm one another. They do have a social hierarchy in most species and there is always some arguing over top fish.

You will usually see shelldwellers kept in their minimum recommended tank size, but larger tanks are even more entertaining! I'd love to upsize my multie's tank from their 15g. Plus you can keep just about any shellie species in that tank.
