Hi I am thinking of starting a amazon biotope, the tank is 240l, I am after ideas for stocking list, and would like a centre piece fish to build the tank around???? I was thinking, cory catfish (bottom) hatchet fish (top), Bolivian ram x2 school of tetra, but also after something as a centre piece which will not bother these? Aquarium will be planted, may e dwarf hair grass, amazon frogbit, would also like some taller plants, and maybe plant with colour, but must be Amazonian, with some big wood and leaf litter. Any ideas are welcome thank you.

An Angelfish would be perfect. :) They're so graceful, and there are so many colors to choose from. I'm not sure about plants other than swords, but I'm sure a quick google search will give you lots of ideas. Have fun with the tank!

Angelfish would be nice, or a pair of keyhole cichlids, not the most colorful, but lots of personality and very gentle.
As for plants there is a huge variety of sword plants in different colors and leaf shape.

for angelfish it would depend on the type of tetra. it would have to be deep bodied and big because neon tetras, etc are natural prey for angel fish

I know angelfish are ruled out, but want something to fill the tank
