Hi, first post so be gentle!

I have a new 20ltr tank and currently have 2 Zebra Danio in it. When i can add more fish i.e. a month or so, what other sort of fish do people recommend?

Thanks

Well you could add swordtails, guppies, endlers, platties, there are many types. Your fish tank is only about 5 gallons though. So think small amounts of fishies. Here is a WEBSITE that shows different zebra danio fish combinations and compatibility.

Best of Luck with the :fish: !!

To be honest, with that size tank, there's not many fish you ould put in there.
You could get away with a single Betta and maybe 3 ottos.
Another option would be a few Endlers or Dwarf Rasboras.
Zebra Danios need to be in a bigger group and will need a bigger tank.

The tank is to small for livebearers they are active fish and need room to move.
If you get females the tank will soon be overun with fry.

Agreed. That tank is far too small for danios. Danios are fast moving fish that need a large school. They need a long tank to live happily. That tank is only suitable really for a single Betta, a few shrimp and some plants but nothing else as you don't have the space for a big enough school to live happily. Bettas are solitary so don't need tankmates. If you want a decent community tank, really, bare minimum you need 20 gallons (90 litres). Sorry

:good:

I would have thought that Endlers would be fine with them only getting to 1"?
Also though the same with Dwarf Rasboras?
Only reason I ask is that George Farmer had a small tank with Rasboras in and it looked great.

Stang1 its not always the size of the fish its how active they are, neons are small fish but need tanks of more than 10 gallons as there a shoaling fish.

I agree with you about the Neons Wilder but I thought Rasboras were different.
