First of all, I want to say hello to everyone here on the board. I am new here and new to the whole fish hobby thing. I will be getting a 20 gallon high tank this weekend( hopefully) and was trying to find some information as to how many dwarf gouramis I would be able to properly stock it with. The only research I have done on gouramis is looking at videos of them on youtube. I ran across this forum though a friend on facebook and hopefully I can find someone here to help me out. As to how many Dwarf Gouramis i would say 4

Dwarf gourami are generally peaceful towards most fish but territorial towards their own species. If you have more than one its unlikely that they'll kill eachother but there will be aggression. They also stay towards the top of the tank a majority of the time so if you only have dwarf gouramis your tank may end up looking a little empty. I guess what im saying is all subjective but I think it would look better as a community tank with some other fish types in there... especially if you want to limit aggression.
