Ok my 20 gallon has a AC150 on it and for fish it has 1 redtail shark, 1 angel fish, 2 cherry barbs, 1 tiger barb, 7 neons, 1 pleco, 1 oto cat, 1 platy, 1 guppy, 1 sword, 2 black neons..Can i get a Blue Gruamis? I clean my tanke 1 time a week, Gravel vac and all that

I'd suggest more black neons, more tiger and cherry barbs and then more space!

Some of the fish may have issues with each other (but only you will know if the barbs are nipping the angel or not) adding a gourami would only add to the possibility of nipping occuring and many of the single fish you have in the are shoaling fish, that would prefer to be in groups.

Ditto

Tiger barbs definatly need groups to keep their aggreession down

You will definitely need to get a bigger tank, and also add to some schools. You should get at least a 29 gallon, larger if you can manage it, as a 20 is way to short to cope with a full grown angels height. Also you want to have a least 6 tiger barbs, and 5 black neons. If your pleco was sold to you as a "common" pleco, then it will grow massive (several feet) and you probably will not be able to house it. If you take it back, you will have room for several more otos (they're schooling fish too). :)

So you ask for advice, are told what to do and your response is "Whatever, I'll just get another barb?" You're going to have a serious die off soon and some severely stunted fish in that set up. Just don't come back and say no one warned you.

Name calling on the internet, big guy you are. So brave. I said they will stunt, so learn how to read while working on that attitude and ignorance problem of yours. :D

settle down people, ever notice how it says ''TROPICAL FISH FORUMS, THE FRIENDSLIEST FORUM AROUND''

not when people like u are being so rude

Calm down you little baby! want a tissue? and i quote you wrote "severely stunted fish"..Maybe you should learn to read you little PMS baby.. theres no need for this man ur just being a idiot?!?! I didnt say anything and now ur getting all jackass/Mean on me!? and can u please tell me what fish are stunted?

MWM, just for clarification, I dont think a baby could get PMS, so your last statement is virtually impossible. PMS stands for post menstrual syndrome, and I believe that happens during and after female puberty. And I agree with Teelie, you could have some stunted fish on your hands (angelfish, common pleco).

at the risk of sounding rude
your tank is a disaster waiting to happen
you have obviously done no research at all
you are DANGEROUSLY overstocked
have you heard of nitrate? ammonia? nitrite? ph?
point is....
well where should i start

1) a common pleco, as stated already above,
is rediculously too large for your tank
he will reach several feet and cannot and will not survive in such a small tank

2)you have fin ripping fish (tiger barb and a red tailed black shark) in with a guppy (a slow, long finned and weak fish) and several community fish
they will be picked off one by one

3)angel needs a larger tank, (they can reach 6-8")
that is one mistake i have done in the past
but i have rehomed mine to a 55 gallon tank

4) you have a single barb, which is a schooling fish
he will most likely become VERY hostile towards your other fish

5)a red tailed black shark can reach 6" and although it may be nice now, when it reaches maturity in a tank that small, all hell will break loose (especially since you a WAY overcrowded)

6) i cannot stress enough that you are absolutley rediculously overcrowded!!!!!

now instead of being a total dillhole about it,
maybe you should pick up a book, or do some research on the internet'
since you OBVIOSLY won't take good advise from knowledgable people
this forum has hundreds of members willing to help
but if you are ignorant, which you are being, then you might aswell leave and do whatever you want
since you are doing it anyways :<

i HATE irresponsible people :grr:

I've already reported his posts. It's too bad he's got such an attitude and refuses to listen to what he was told.

This thread started with a good question and it received some excellent answers. All that it seems to be lacking is that good old TFF spirit of friendliness and graciousness.

It would be nice if we could just be kind to each other again. :D
