Hi there, my 20G now has

1X Redclaw crayfish
8 X Tiger Barbs
6 X Neon Tetra
2 X Buenos Aires Tetra

Could it take any any more fish? It's well filtered and has a 25% water change twice a week.

Cheers.

not really i wouldnt really keep a crayfish in that tank if i were you!

if you got rid of that you could get a few corydoras catfish

He's no problem at all. Has not attacked or even chased any of the fish.

it will trust me youll notice missing fish !!
ive heard of one killing a bala shark and a plec before!

you will have problems in the future with it if not now

maybe put some more beunos aires tetras in there because they are a schooling fish

Ditch the red claw, he may be nice but not for long, i suggest a nice crayfish cocktail as a starter :) few more beunos airers and corydoras should do nicely.

Thanks for your replies. I may look at moving him to the 55 in time.

hi oscar

i have 4 rosy barbs in a 20 gallon long. since they're similar in size to tiger barbs and i'm raising 4 rosy barb fry atm, i'm wondering how your 8 tiger barbs are doing? do they seem to have enough room to swim and be happy? i understand that a 20 gallon tank is pretty small. a photo or two of your tank would be nice.

Hi celaeno

The tiger barbs are only small at the moment. They will be moved to the 30G when my Piranha move to the 55G. They are doing fine, shoaling together and seem happy, same for the Neon Tetras. The BA tetras are also doing well, I had to move them from my Piranha tank as one of them was attacked.

The crayfish leaves them well alone and eats plenty of Salmon, flakes and algae drops (plus anything which falls to the bottom).

Will do my best to get a Photo up this week. I may have added to the tank by then too!

Wilde.
