I totally agree with you that fish can show love  i certainly think my plecs try to be as affectionate as they can be and show "loving" behavior towards me that they never do with other people- i wouldn't swap/sell them for anything. The more time i spend with them the more rewarding they are- im thinkin about seeing if they'll eat algae wafers on my hand as that would be so cool, if they do i'll see if i can get pics of them on here to share with you guys :) .

Hiya Tokis,

In reply to your original question....IMO you will be absolutely fine with your three plecs in a 200 gallon and you will still have plenty of room to add more fish.

Good filtration is obviously very important but as long as thats covered I can't see anything wrong.

Thanks for the info :) , say i get more guppys and platys, how many would i be able to put i the tank roughly with the plecs living in it? Altogether i want to increase all my current types of fish groups/shoals but i realy don't know where to start when it comes to how much space i have left in the tank after the plecs, i would realy like some clown loachs too :) .
Filtration won't be a problem as i like my tanks to be highly filtered and i will most likely have 2-3 large filters going in the 200gal tank.
