20 Long Planted Betts

So got a free 20 Long, wanted a nice snow white betta, a few Dwaf frogs and maybe a small schooling fish. I want plants but dont want to deal with co2. I heard Anubis can live without it and just attach it to driftwood. Also wanted a colored sand substrate. In my 20L i wanted 3 small pieces of driftwood with 1 plant attached to each.. IS this do-able with just a flurescent plant light?

also what is good schooling fish, say 8-10 that will stay small to thrive in tank

anubias is a low light level plant and easy to grow, theres quite a bit of info on easy to grow plants over in the planted section

i think someone had some anubias for sale the other day too (UK)

sorry i dont know if any schooling fishies will fit in your tank, im sure someone else will know

Small schooling fish for your setup:

spotted blue eyes or gertrudes rainbows (Pseudomugil gertrudae) <--- Personal favorite

Any of the following tetras:
neon, black neon, cardinal, lemon, ember

Any of the following rasboras:
harlequin rasbora, hengel's rasbora

Any of the more common small danios or celestial pearl danios

I could go on, but I just got bored.

Good, cheap, easy low-light plants (my favorites):

Cryptocoryne wendtii green, vallisneria, java fern (fastens to wood), anubias (fastens to wood), java moss (or any other moss common to the hobby- fastens to wood)

Val probably is a poor plant choice for a twelve inch tall tank as it can grow several feet in length. You could cut it if you like, though- it's a grass. Crypts come in an assortment of sizes and forms and could suit for everything from foreground to background plants if you do your homework.
