Here's the idea, sign up to Betfair, deposit £20 and bet on there being 1 or more goals in a game, as there tends to be. repeat this using the payout from the last match. The odds are minimal, but over time the money increases, and the suggestion is you'd expect to win your bets by picking your games well, i.e finding games where one team is probably going to get hammered. As the title suggests, try to get a grand without hitting a 0-0 draw!

Apparently it takes 50 - 60 games to get there, and considering I'm going to try fit in 7 or 8 games this weekend, shouldn't take too long. That is of course unless Livepool screw things right up for me tonight.

Any takers?

Last time I had a proper bet like this was an eight match accumulator, I had won £850 so far with one match to go, the home banker, Man Utd vs Charlton at Old trafford and the scumbags lost! Had they won, I t would only have gone to about £1,000, but they lost and I lost the lot. I'm sure they did it on purpose. I swore then that I'd not do accumulatoors again

A mate of mine bets £50 each on Man Utd and Chelski to win every week (apart from when they play each other when he doesn't bet) and leaves it all in the account. As low as the odds are at the end of the season he wins around £3,000 each year which pays for a holiday for his family. I have thought of doing this to test my thory that Man Utd lost to spite me

Good luck with it, and as I'm watching now, you're OK, Peter Crouch has scored and Torres just banged one in as I was typing this sentence :D Typical though Craig Gordon is my fantasty team keeper

I used to do a lot of different accumulators like this.

Take the free money from setting up a new online betting account and just keep building it up on 'dead certs'. Usually did well.

It was always Man Utd who lost me money too, once v West Ham in the cup and again v some Greek no-marks in Europe.

Refuse to bet on Utd now.

I did a similar thing at the World Cup in 2006 and got up to over 200 when England played Trinidad and Tobago. Was very fraught in my household until the last 15 and I then lost my bottle and withdrew the lot.

I like the idea of betting on Man U and Chelsea all the time - sounds like a good little system.

Married with kids now so I think I'd get the boot if I got back into all that again.
