20 gallon tank

hello,

just interested of what you all think i should do. if i do make it a cichlid tank what kind should i get? and, which are the easyst to breed.

I'd go cichlids, maybe Kribs. These guys will breed for you. They also can have a few other fish in with them and 'target' fish are a necessity.

Tropical community would be good but you could probably have both with some less agro cichlids and no bottom feeders.

I was thinking of getting a 20L myself but read that its not wide enough (12"?). Not enough room for large rocks in back of tank and an open space for them to swim. How many could you put in a 20L? 3?

I would personally go with a community. I don't think you have enough room for most cichlids besides the kribs..? You could go kribs/community!!???

20 litres is way too small IMO

cat.fish is talking 20 gallons = 75litres (if US galls)

Kribs, Apistos, or maybe Rams in a 20g community would be great!

Doesn't 20L meant 20 gallons "long", as opposed to "high"?

Wow! Thanks for this! I have an empty 20 long sitting in the basement waiting for me to do something with it. I wanted african cichlids too, so this is great!!
