Does any body kno the sizes of the 20 gal hi tank or the 20 gal?

Different manufacturers can vary. All Glass tanks are: 24x12x16 for the 20high and 30x12x12 for the 20long

thats weird because I have a 20 gal high and it the demensions are...17x42x12. If it isnt a 20 gal then how many gals is it?
