well i have my 2 year old white betta veiltail. i recently changed his water and he has blown a nice big bubblenest...is this common? i didn't know they still did that at 2 yrs...i got him from petsmart when he was a bit smaller so he must have already been 6 months!!!

I've got a couple 2 year old bettas that still blow nests.

I've got a guy who's at -least- three years old and still blows bubblenests.

My five year old guy George is in my 10 gallon, and I hadn't seen a bubble nest from him in about a year... so, when the 10 gallon got divided and my gal Thistle got put in there, let me tell you a week later one whole corner of his side was bubbled, just like he used to. My gal was all barred up too, so just for grins and giggles I removed the divider to see if they would like eachother... then seperated them again 2 minutes later, as George had her scrambling for cover and with stress bars instead of breeding bars. I should have factored in the size, since George was like, 2 times the size of her.
