In the last two weeks, I have lost eight fish (4 swordtails, 3 danios, and a cory) and I have no idea what is going on. They seem completely healthy until a few hours before they die. They start getting very sluggish and just resting on the rocks or at the top of the water. A few of them showed this a little differently. Their entire back end seemed almost paralyzed and turned very pale, and then they were dead maybe an hour later :(. Two days ago I did about a 90% water change and I hadent lost any fish until today when I saw one of my last two remaining danios looking like the others I had lost. He is barely swimming, just sort of floating at the waters edge. I put him and my other danio into a hospital tank. My water stats are all good (pH 7.0, ammonio 0, nitrite 0, nitrate about 40) although my temp is a bit high, about 82, but I am working on bringing the temp down. I haven't added any chemicals or fish in over a month. I am just stumped. Any advide would be great. I tried to snap a video of the fish in question at the moment but I took it on my digital camera so the quality isnt very good. I've never uploaded a video before so I hope this works. Thanks.

Never do large water changes is stresses the fish out.
If the temp been high you could have a bacterial infection, you have lost quite a few fish so I would go the bacterial route, if the fish are not flicking and rubbing against objects.

Are their backs bent? Something simmilar happened to one molly (may he rest in peace) and is happening to anouther molly now. It's weird because the pregnant molly is not affected at all, nor are the tetra or algea eaters.

wilder, in the vid it looks like the danio is hunched back, whats that a sign for? ive forgotten what its called

Sorry never saw the vid.
Bent spines can be born that way, internal parasites to fish tb.
Whats it look like when the fish go to the toilet.
Check anus to see if it's enlarged or red and inflamed.
Any fish gone thin also with the bent spine.

He's in bad shape he's struggling to swim I would end his suffering.

Eek! Dumb pet stores! They told me to do a big water change on them. Most of the fishes backs that Ive lost did seem bent, and they all got very very skinny, I forgot to mention that. Now Im gonna go spy on him to wait for him to go to the bathroom lol.

Thanks for those links. So, do you think I should treat the main and hospital tank with the medicine (is that available in the US?)? Hopfully I can save the rest of them. I hardly have any fish left :(

The problem is its pointing two ways got to find which one it is internal parasites, or fish tb.
Every seen red poo dangling from a fish when not fed bloodworms, or a red worm prutruding from tne anus.

Ohh ok I understand. They do seem to have red poop dangling from them, a couple of my 'healthy' fish do right now. Also, after I feed them (like now) they get very, very bloated. I dont know if thats normal, I just thought I would point it out. I got a few pics of the bloated swordtails, and I sorta got a pic of the red poo trail they have, so maybe you can see if thats what you meant.

This one shows the poo pretty well:

And this shows how bloated they get after they eat:

Thanks so much for all your help.

Great, thanks! Off to the pet store then. Just one more quick question: I have some fry in there that are about a month old and have survived, I cant remember, is it ok to use meds on fry or should I put them in a different tank? Thanks again!!

Not sure with that med to be honest.
Don't think you will get that med at a petstore.
Ask bloo she used it.
Good luck.
