Thinking about buying a 2 tier stand to house 2 20 gallon tanks which i will use to raise ram fry i am breeding

My concern is that they look as if they have a very high centre of gravity and im worried it migh topple over!

So has anyone ever had any problems witha 2 tier stand, or are they ok?

well shops use 3 tier stands so i don't think you'll have any problems!!

did you do a typo or did you mean two 1 gallon tanks, if that is the size you have nowt to worry about anyways!!

wow you were quick, yes a typo

Shops have them professionaly done with anchors etc

ah 20 gallons bit of a difference but should still be sound.

the shop i work at aren't bolted, just have normal legs!!

I have a two tiered cast iton stand for a 55 gallon. my husband wouldnt let me set it up until he had built a wooden base and anchored it into the wall studs with aircraft cable. You could tapdance on the thing

I have double and triple stands, all but 1 home made, for all but 1 of my tanks. As long as they are built well ( I tend to over build things) and like any other stand you avoid playing rugby or any other similar activities near them you should be fine.

Sort of ... a software engineer .... but he works for the government they sort of brain wash you about safety at work and home .... let me see if I can get some pictures of this rig.

I'm a newbie to fishkeeping but got lots of helpful tips from my brother, who's been keeping fish for years. He has 2 x20 gallon tanks set in a metal frame but puts a piece of wood underneath to spread the load and has never has any problems. They seem pretty steady without support struts to the wall.
