2 spot gar

are these as notorious as the florida, do they grow as big?

cant find any info on them at all

Never heard of them... is this Lepisosteus oculatus that we're talking about?
If so, then yes, it is capable of reaching lenthgs in excess of 4 feet, and none of the gars have a maximum size smaller than about two and a half feet (The smallest of them is L. platostomus, the shortnose gar).

Could you provide a link? I'm guessing that this is the spotted gar, and that 2 spot gar is a common name perhaps used in a certain area... but a link would be helpful.
