Hi
2 of my blue rams are sick. One has not been eating for about 3 days, the other became unusually subdued 24 hours ago.
They are both breeathing really heavily first at the top of the tank now they are on the bottom hiding.
The tank is 150ltrs (about 40 gals)
PH = 6.8
Nitrate = between 5.0 & 10 mg/l
(I don't have a nitrite tester)
ammonia = 0.2mg/l (wow that snuck up on me - I have added ammo lock)
I added some melafix to the water at the weekend.
I stirred up the java moss when I separated the male and female platies, this made the tanlk a little messy.
Fish:
14 neon tetra
3 blue rams
1 bolivian ram
1 kissing gourami
6 platies
1 bristlenose catfish
should I move them to a hospital tank until the ammonia level drops - should I do a partial water change?
thanks I really want to sav these little guys they are my favourites!
