Soon, I will be running out of bloodworms and I was wondering what should I buy next.
I have the option of getting black mosquito larvae (frozen) + dried water fleas OR bloodworms again (frozen) + dried water fleas. Which ones are better for swordtails and hoplo?
They do get tropical flakes for 2 days, but other 2 days they get defrosted food and I will figure out where to put the daphnia in their feeding schedule. The hoplo gets salad almost daily.
About the apple snails: I will be gone in June or July for a few weeks. How do I make sure that the snails get enough food? I told my dad to take the snails out every other day and put flakes in a bowl for them (seems to be working in my case, the snails eat the flakes and no fish will bother them that way) or he could put boiled carrots the main tank, but knowing him, he might leave it till it rots and the snails don't go directly to the carrot anyway, I have to put them on it to eat it.
How do you manage to keep your snails fed while you're out of town?
