I have a question .. what will a female do if she saw some fry swimming and they are not her's(from another pair)?? will she eat them of treat them as thier own??

i would think if the parents were not looking after the fry i guess she would eat them.

At times, I have up to 4/5 pairs of Convicts breeding simultaneously in the outside pond.....I have seen that the different batches of fry intermingle to the extent that one mother will at times protect a lot more than her fair share and at other times the same mother will only be "in charge" a a few fish.
