just bought a blue star damsel and percula clown fish wich is maroon colored. i already have a orange percula clown. as soon as i added the maroon one they havent stopped following eachother.. think it is love at first sight lol. the orange one shakes sometimes when the maroon one gets a bit to close but as far as i read its either a mating sign or a sign that it is submissive.. so eitherway not a bad thing. they seem best of friends so far and the damsel seems pretty shy.. sure that will change though lol. will update with video as soon as cam is charged up.

yup they are, the damsel has chased of the darker clown twice but didnt nip or anything, there actually swimming in a group of 3 pretty regularly lol

lol thats awesome, i was shocked the clowns took to eachother so quickly. it was litrally the very second i put the 2nd clown in they havent been apart since lol the 1st clown was in there about a month by himself cus i got rid of the yellow tail damsel wich bullied him. are your clowns a breeding pair ? im hoping mine will breed but dunno if its even possible cus there 2 diff colors but i think the same type.

well one is black and one is orange but there both called percula clown fish or false clownfish etc, im sure there the same type.. like one isnt a percula and the other a maroon lol.. just diffrent colors i think

yah they are both perculas just different colours, can still live well togther though, im not 100% sure that there ever pair though .....

thanks, i will have a look on google and see what it says, i have never seen 2 diffrent colors in the same tank before.. only in the shop once

ive known of a few who have kept them together well, at work theres lots of b+w and orange and white perculas in the same tank, they are usually sold before adult hood though!

ah kewl, they should be ok cus there both the same type of fish just diffrent coloring. couldnt find nothing bout breeding them though
