Hello everybody, wasn't sure whether I should have put this in this section or the Brackish section. Hope this is fine.

My partner has just suprised me with 2 new dalmation Mollys for our fish tank. :D However, our tank is freshwater. Can I keep these fish in our tank, or should I add salt to it? It is about 70 L. Will this be big enough?

In our tank we have 5 ghost glass catfish, 2 bristlenoses, 2 snails and an upside down catfish.

If you have any other interesting information about the care of Mollys I would be very interested in hearing it.

Thankyou!!

I have a live bearer tank with four Mollies, three Platy's and some Panda Cory's. The tank is fresh water and kept at conditions that are more ideal to the Platy's than the Mollies, but the Mollies are happy and healthy and breeding and don't seem to mind the fresh water conditions. They're very hardy fish and can deal with not-quite-suitable conditions, so long as the conditions are stable and they are properly acclimated to it :)
Hope that sort of helps :p

I keep all of my mollies in fresh water with no troubles. Salt will not go well for your glass cats.

I am very pleased to hear this, they are beautiful fish and I would hate to have had to give them away! Thanks for your help!
