Last weekend my betta Zeus passed away.. Due to.. Well.. Not eating.
I was gone for the weekend and forgot to tell my fiance to feed Zeus only bloodworms, since that's all he would eat.
So he continued to drop pellets in there not realizing Zeus wasn't eating them.

ALSO.. What happened this weekend.. I came back to see my gorgeous super delta... Romeo... All frail and to the bottom of the tank. I think he may have swim bladder : /
I need some advice, I can't lose another one this week.

It really makes me reconsider leaving the house ever again! : [

I take it the fiance did not clean out the tank, so if you have not done so, that might help.

Has this other fish eaten as well?

My betta had swim bladder.

It was horrible watching him on his side looking helpless, I thought he was goner.

I was feeding him bloodworms twice a day - this was the cause of it.

If it swim bladder cut back on 'meaty' foods, probably best to lay off them for a few days and see how he responds to that.

Try dry foods or missing a feed time out.

The other fish are perfectly fine.

I chewed him out for it when I got back : / And it was not pretty.
All these fish are like my babies.. Well until we have one of our own.

He tried to get me a new one..
But I refused to let him do so :shout:
I did a 75% water change in all tanks today.
I'm absolutely pooped.
