1.

I have a 10 gallon aquarium that I'm hoping to get some tropical fish for.

Is it too crowded a tank to get 3 Panda Cory Catfish, 5 Neon Tetras, 2 African Dwarf Frogs, and 2 Ghost Shrimp?

Must I eliminate some fish for there to be enough room in the tank?

I know catfish and tetras are schooling groups. What is the minimum size of a school of those fish without problems arising?

Is there a specific order these fish should be introduced to this aquarium?

Are there any other suggestions you have as far as tank mates, equipment, tank size etc?

2.

Is it an okay combination to have 2 Dwarf Puffers and 7 Zebra Danios in a 10 gallon aquarium?

Is this too crowded, are the fish incompatible, do puffers (even dwarf puffers) need bigger tanks.

Thank you. All comments will be greatly appreciated,
Mobern

#1 -- Eliminate the ADFs and you miiiiiiiiiight be able to squeeze it, if you have really good filtration and constantly monitor your water parameters. Emphasis on the really good.

#2 -- No. Take out the zebra danions. It's 5 gallons per dwarf puffer.

is a dwarf puffer like the puffer fish on shark tale if so where would a good place to get some be? I would like to get two of them for my ten gallon tank they sound cool.

DPs are much smaller, and I don't remember there being a puffer in Shark Tale. Then again, I've only watched it once. Are you thinking of Bloat, from Finding Nemo? Because he's a porcupine puffer, and that's saltwater.
Dwarfs usually max out at 1 inch. Check around with your LFS to see if they carry them or can order them. Mine can order them but they don't stock them regularly. However, Petsmart carries them.

it is the boss of the whale wash that is a puffer in shark tale his name is sykes.

My lfs carries dwarf freshwater puffers. I think they cost $6.99 each there.

I think i am going to have to get two of them for my ten gallon tank they sound really cool.

I like the green spotted puffer it is really cool looking but gets to big i'm going to have to read up on the dwarfs.

Hi Mobern :)

If this 10 gallon tank is already established and has excellent filtration, you could probably keep 6 to 8 pandas in there. I would not use them to cycle with and would not overstock the tank. Even so, please plan on twice a week water changes.

If you are new to the hobby, I do not recommend pandas. These are not corys for beginning fishkeepers. They are shy and more sensitive to water conditions than other cory cats.

ADFs are best kept by themselves, but could be kept with other small fish if the tank is covered tightly. They are great jumpers. For more information, read this thread:

Puffers are not my area of expertise, but I think they might have to be kept alone. For more information, please ask about them in the Oddballs section.

For more information about danios, please ask about them in Cyprinids, Characins and Atherinids.

You are asking a lot in this one post, so I hope this helps some. :D
