2 Clowns Dead In One Day !

Nothing added other than liquid plant food drops, and have cleaned glass (where the fake plant was) as I had green alge spots - used aquarium wipes for that - so I would answer no.

I have been looking at bigger tanks today :hyper: :good:

I also bought some frozen bloodworm to help my loaches.....unfortunately, I cannot remember how the chap suggested I fed it to them ! I think he said to take from frozen, and "crush" a cube by the spray bar to send them round the tank - does this sound right ?? Any advice most appreciated (and should this be when the lights have gone off or when we feed flakes to the others ?). We're only feeding once every two days at the moment as I've got a slight amon spike (I think due to giving my son some of my filter noodles !

Params at the moment:
Ph 7.2
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10
Amonia .25

You won't need a whole cube for your stock so I would cut it in half with a hot knife.

Pop half back in the freezer.

Put the other half in a small pyrex dish or cup and add a couple of tablespoons of boiling water. Once dissolved, strain off in a fine net (a piece of muslim cloth does the trick). You can then feed the tank.

Just remember to remove any uneaten bloodworm no later than 24 hours after feeding as bloodworm will start to rot a lot quicker than dried foods.

Thank you, that's really appreciated.

Should I do this when feeding the flakes, or at a different time ? One piece of advice I had was to feed the loaches a pellet, when I turn the light off at night...so should I do the bloodworm at night (no lights) or when teh top feeders are enjoying their flakes ??

A quick update.

Went to LFS today, and he replaced the Clowns instantly....they are at home, and seem to have brought the others out now too. Bllodworms gone down well, though the red eyes seem to love them too !!!!

Fingers crossed I won't be getting my net out in the near future.
