hello all I was a member here a couple of years ago but don't remember my username/password. I have been away for 2 years at college and have completed a national diploma in fish management (ornamental) at Sparsholt college which i highly recommend to anyone interested in going into the trade.
Ok so introduction done here is one of my tanks that i have set up since being back home.
note - I have since moved my sub because the vibration effected the tank
fish-
tank - 30x20x20cm glass rimless
substrate - heavy clay topsoil topped with black sand and odd gravel mixed in
filter - elite mini filter with half of each the impeller arms(?)cut off. when i put in without cutting these of it knocked all the plants all over the place.
lighting/heating - halogen desk lamp
flora - left - mentha pelegium. right - hemianthus micranthemoides, cryptocoryne sp.
fauna - a pair of girardinus metallicus, 3 unidentified 1cm algae eating shrimp that i hardly ever see
