Hi there,
So I have my heart set on an Angelfish tank and have a few ideas on how I want to stock it.
My thoughts were 2 Angelfish
flame tetras
Kuhli loaches
pencil fish
Otto's
and possibly cardinal/neon tetras.
Is that a fair stocking idea or do you guys think I need to reduce the variety? How would you stock a 150 Angelfish tank?

Thanks in advance!

What are your tank dimensions? You really want a four foot tank with at least 18 inches of height for angels. Not sure a 190 can accommodate that. Otherwise your fish combinations look fine to me, cardinals over neons though as they get bigger I think the neons would get eaten when the angels are grown.

I wouldn’t go with neons also possible food , iv never owned an angel but I looked after a few for a friend for a couple of weeks and they were very slow seemed to drift around the tank I’m not even sure what swim they occupied hence a larger tank would be needed I’d think

I hate to be a wet blanket, but I would not keep any angels in a tank that small. Angelfish shouldn't be kept in two's unless they are an established m/f pair, and your tank is too small to keep more. I once kept a pair of angels in a 200l tank, and it was really the bare minimum I wold ever recommend for a pair. When they laid eggs they would get pretty nasty with anyone that came close, and I found that 200l just made this a bad situation for everyone else in the tank - it was stressful for the other fish and me. If you want to keep cichlids in a 150 then you could maybe get away with a trio of apistos or a pair of rams, if your water is right (being in Scotland, it probably is). Cardinals can be fine with angels, neons no.
