So the time has come.. Ive been waiting a little over a year thinking when my synos will attempt to spawn.. and sure enough I think i have 3 females and 3 males haha.. lucky me. anyway It seems like its everyweek they get extremely fat then poof... skinny again. its been on going for the past month. so i was going to attempt to maybe try the Clay pot in the tank thing. Im just going to try to do it in the main tank and see how it works out if i have any luck.. I still need to get the supplies but if anyone has something that has worked and would like to share it would be great! Im super busy at school this week so this will be a Friday saturday sunday project. The only good thing is that i just noticed them get small again so my guess is they should be ready come later this week... My synos are just now a year and a half. 3 inches long. I thought this kinda seems a little soon but who knows. Inform me! thanks ahha

Getting Petricola to spawn is pretty straightforward. Defo use the clay pot method. I have one set-up in the tank permanently. Raising the fry is the tricky part. Mine never survive as the petricola share with a Decorus, two LDA31's, 3-spot Gouramis and a few lil things. They are very small when born and really need a seperate tank if they are to survive. I'm sure there must be someone on here who's managed it. I just never dedicate enough time to them as I do with breeding my bettas.

Hey snake - I know you've seen my method with the clay pot and the air powered uplift, Is that what you've gone with in the end?

I still have the pot in our tank with the base and marbles and they are in and out of it all the time...

I have never seen fry from them having just left them to it though not even one.
